Tammie BrowningTammie played the part of the Lady Mayor, Margery Apleyard, at the Maine Renaissance Faire this past summer, and she made several really beautiful costumes for this role. This red brocade gown was the very first Elizabethan costume that she ever made, and it took her a year to complete because there are over 1500 gold glass bugle beads hand sewn onto the skirt. The forepart is reversible so she can also wear it with another gorgeous costume seen here. And while she was at it, Tammie also made the Spanish ambassador's costume, which also has over 300 pearls sewn onto each sleeve. Oy! My fingers are getting tired just from thinking about all of that beading! But judging from these pictures, all of her hard work really paid off.
