Karen Lee

This Milanese gown is a masterful reproduction of the Leonardo da Vinci painting, La Belle Ferroniere from 1495. Karen (a.k.a. Lady Ginevra Visconti) will soon be inducted into the Order of the Laurel for her costuming abilities. She is an expert on Milinese and Florentine fashion, but she also makes clothing from other regions, as you can see by this picture of another beautiful Elizabethan gown. And if her last name seems familiar, that's because she is married to Jeff Lee, who was the featured costumer from last week! How cool is that?!? They both made their own costumes for their Elizabethan themed wedding in 2000, and you can see one of the pictures here. That kind of talent shared by two people just completely blows me away! And finally, you can also see a few more pics of Karen's work at her Yahoo photo album or email her at ginevra(at)shipbrook.com with any questions.
