Crystal Bergstrom

It may be a bit hard to believe, but this amazing gown is Crystal's very first attempt at historical costuming! I am incredibly impressed and a little bit humbled at the same time! I really love the fabric that she chose, and I adore that cute little hat. You can read a little more about the outfit below the picture, and you can contact this promising new costumer at Crystal(dot)Bergstrom(at)state(dot)mn(dot)us.

Crystal

This is my first try at sewing anything resembling clothes of any kind. Except for the corset and hoopskirt, I made everything myself. Most of the dress is hand sewn because I can't run a straight line on the machine to save my life. There are a couple hundred glass pearls for decoration and the hat went together better than I expected. I even made a pair of matching red velvet oversleves, which, of course, I never got pictures of. All in all, it was a great experience and I'm already itching to start a new dress. More than anything I've learned a girl must always have something new for fest...
