Tanya Peer

Tanya has done a fantastic job creating this elegant Italian gown, and all of the little details work together to create such a picture-perfect look. I love the colors and style that she chose, and even the pose looks exactly like some Italian illustrations that I have seen in the past. You can see more of Tanya's work at her new webpage and you can email her at t(dot)peer(at)comcast(dot)net. Also, you can read more about this outfit in a description below the picture.

Tanya

The Italian starts with a cream silk camicia. That gamurra is an upholstery brocade of unknown fiber content and a silk twill skirt. The vestito is the same red silk twill as the skirt and has what I was told was wool liner I have since discovered it has to be a wool blend. The wool is a tan and cream wool that looks like it is orange from a distance. Quite shocking. I am wearing one of those ghirlanda thingies on my head. I also made the fan and the necklace. Entirely hand sewn since me and machines have issues.
