Anna-Katharina Hoepflinger

I am so thrilled to showcase this delightful Florentine gown. One of the highest compliments that you can give to a historical costumer is to tell them that they look like a painting that has come to life, and this is definitely true with Anna's work. She looks like she could have escaped from a masterpiece by Raphael! Anna is a Swiss costumer who lives in a small village near Zurich. The gown is wool and she hand-sewed everything except the waist seam and her corded corset. I hadn't seen all of Anna's website until yesterday, but I was completely blown away by her wide range of gorgeous costumes. You can see more pictures of this gown here and you can also check out some more pictures of her trip to Firenze with a reenactment group called In Nova Corpora. If you would like to contact Anna, you can reach her at atall(at)bluemail(dot)ch.
