Elisabeth Lex

I had the great pleasure of meeting Elizabeth at the Brisol Renaissance faire this summer, and I was totally charmed by her beautiful blue gown. She was apologizing for not having a farthingale and bumroll, but I really loved the shape of it exactly as it was, and it reminds me a lot of the London gentlewomen in the famous Lucas de Heere drawing. There are a ton a great details in this dress that I was lucky enough to see in person, but my favorite part was the gorgeous embroidery that she did on the front of her bodice. Elizabeth is going to be a freshman at MIT this year, and you can contact her at elex (at) mit (dot) edu.
