The jewel-like colors and sumptuous fabrics of Stephanie's noble gown work so perfectly with the clean lines of Tudor fashions. And don't you just love people who take such beautiful pictures? Here's another full-length photo of the gown, and a picturesque view on a staircase. This project was a collaborative project made possible by two incredibly talented costumers, Melissa Heischberg and Angela Friedman You can read more about the process below the picture, and Stephanie can be contacted at Stephanie(dot)Cooke(at)lexisnexis(dot)com.

This Tudor noble gown, made for a formal Halloween ball held at a local museum, was truly a collaborative effort. I found the initial drawing/design (attached here) by Angela Friedman (Espalore(at)hotmail(dot)com), and got her permission to have the dress made. Angela said that Melissa Heischberg (missa(at)Sempstress(dot)org) would be the woman for the design-to-reality job, and sure enough, Melissa agreed to the task, helped me pick fabrics and we were off to the races. She made the chemise, corset, support skirt, underskirt, undersleeves, gown, and french hood and veil, all by hand, all via email and snail mail measurements (we're in different states!) Jewelry was designed and made by Rhonda at SapphireandSage.com.
