Jackie Wyatt

You don't see many people making authentic 16th century Irish gowns these days, so I was really excited to see this gorgeous example of those fashions. Jackie, who is also known as Medb ingen Dungaile in reenactment circles, made her outfit with Kass McGann's patterns for the Shinrone Gown, and she also and followed Kass's descriptions of one of the Lucas de Heere hats for her head covering. She also tells me that she is working on making a true leine to replace the borrowed chemise that you see in this picture. I think she did a fantastic job creating this very unique look, and I especially applaud her wonderfully quirky, but very period hat!
