Roxanne Price

Roxanne has made several lovely German outfits, but my favorite is this wonderful lower-class kampfrau costume that looks remarkably similar to this 16th c. woodcut. I don't think I've ever had such a hard time choosing just one picture to post for a feature, so if you get a chance, you might want to check out the very cool MedCos website where you can find more pictures of Roxanne's gown in the "Show Us Your Stuff" section (the subject heading of her post is "Kampfrau Take Two"). Once again, I am amazed at how beautiful a lower-class costume can be when it is done well, and I was very excited to see somebody exploring lower-class garb from a part of Europe that you don't see as often.
