Vicki Callahan

Vicki made this silk and velvet nobleman's costume for her husband, Bruce. This outfit was her first attempt at true period costuming, and I think she did an outstanding job of modifying some commercial patterns to get a more authentic feel. I love the fact that she went ahead and made all of the parts of a complete man's suit, including the wonderful cape and sleeves... even though as she mentions on her gallery page, they may not get a lot of use due to the heat. But I think that extra effort really paid off because the whole thing together looks so sharp.
