Jean Knaack

This week we have the work of another first-time costumer who has done an amazing job of making outfits not just for herself, but for her entire family! Jean made this smashing outfit for her husband after her first trip to the Maryland Renaissance Festival last year. In addition to his costume, she also found the time to create garb for herself and her two children, and she documented it all in a wonderful website that tracked her progress on each project throughout the year. Her site includes a ton of great info, including a "Minister of the Ledger" page that breaks down the cost of each outfit, which is a really cool touch. But her husband's attire is the one that she the most proud of, and I can definitely see why. I love her unusual choice of colors, and that wonderful red cording just makes the whole thing pop! Be sure to check out the diary for this costume and all of the others while you are there.
