Ladies from Les Pieds Gauches

Les Pieds Gauches is a period dance group from Switzerland whose members recently traveled to Venice for Carnival. From left to right you can see Aniela - wearing her new 15th century dress of fine wool with the red sleeves, Natascha - wearing a 15th century dress (she can also be seen here in a really lovely Houpelande), Sandra - in a red dress, purple Houpelande, and a high "Wulsthaube", and Eva - who is wearing the gorgeous blue gown with gold sleeves. This picture was submitted by Sandra Gehrig, who also has a wonderful costuming blog. She writes, "Aniela, Natascha and Eva are new members of the group and made a huuuuge effort by sewing their 15th century costumes - nearly everything was handsewn, and all of them had real handsewn shoes! I was very proud of my beautifully dressed friends!" If you would like to see more pictures of their trip, be sure to check out their photo album.
