Moulin Rouge Inspired Gown

So I was watching Moulin Rouge last month, and I started thinking about how much I loved Satine's 1899 gown with the bolerlo that she wears in the rehearsal scene near the end of the movie. Then I remmebered that I had an old antique robe from around 1900 that I bought for the sole purpose of converting into something else. Now fast-forward though five weeks of mad sewing, here's what you get! I never intended for this to be an exact copy of the Moulin Rouge dress, but I am happy that it captures the essence of Satine's gown while still showing some of my own creativity.
