1570's Italian DoubletThe giuppone, or Italian doublet, was highly favored by women of Florence and other parts of
Italy in the second half of the 16th century. Mine is made of brown wool with diagonal slashing and
velvet guards. I originally made it to wear with my pink Florentine
gamurra, but it also looks great with the plum and red reversible gamurra seen
