Historical Costumer Links

I decided to take down the bulk of my historical costumer links because I do such a rotten job of keeping up with them. There are SO MANY great costuming websites out there now, and it can be quite overwhelming to try to list them all. Fortunately, there are many other sites with really exhaustive links pages, and you can also browse though my Featured Attyre section to find links to most of the costumers who used to be listed here. But if you don't know where to start, here are the 7 personal websites that I visit the most frequently when I am looking for inspiration or something to drool over. There were at least a dozen other fabulous sites that I was tempted to list here as well, but I narrowed it down to these particular websites because they continue to be updated with new costumes on a regular basis, most of them cover a nice variety of periods, and all of these ladies were a huge influence on me me when I first started costuming or branched out to a new era.

These websites are some of my favorite resources for finding artwork, fashion plates, historical photographs, surviving garments, and period patterns while researching my projects. I'll be adding more to this list as I find them.
