These images were taken from a series of illustrations by Tobias Stimmer
printed in the mid to late 1500's. I have been unable to find out much about the series, but I absolutely
love the clothing worn by these women and hope to use them in the future as a source for costume designs.
I have also included the type of instrument played by each woman for anyone interested in
period instruments, but I am no expert in that field, so I apologize if I labeled any with the wrong name.
